Currie Star 1-5 Easthouses

⚽️ Shayne McRae
⚽️ Liam McLean
⚽️ Jay Prestage x2
⚽️ Euan Bernard

Easthouses bounced back from last weeks disappointing result in amazing fashion with a great display against Currie. We spoke to the kids at the start about encouraging team mates on from the sides and we noticed a massive improvement in their attitudes at today’s game. We started brightly with some great passing moves and Shayne McRae smashed home from close range in the 3rd minute. We continued to defend well and dominate possession but found the Currie goalkeeper in tremendous form. We eventually doubled our lead with Liam firing a left footed shot into the far corner in the 13th minute. Liam almost doubled his tally after a great run but found his left footed effort tipped onto the post. Continuing to press and add to the score line the chances kept coming and Jay Prestage added a 3rd on 23 minutes with a strike from the edge of the box. Into the second half where Jay in an identical situation found the net after a slight deflection to put us 0-4 up with 31 played. The game levelled out as the kids tired and became more end to end. In the last minute Currie scored from the edge of the box to spoil the clean sheet to put the only blemish on our terrific display. From kick off we took the ball and Liam worked his way into the box and saw his shot saved and the rebounded effort smashed in by Euan Bernard

Thanks to Lewis and Martjn for hosting us today, game played in the right spirit.

A well deserved Man of the Match for Cayden Carroll after a superb display from midfield 🍾🍾🍾⚽️🔥

A thanks must be given to the parents for working together to get so many kids to the game and supporting them from the sides 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
